About Fucidin H Cream Fucidin H Cream is used to treat bacterial skin infections and atopic dermatitis. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria enter the body through the skin and cause infection. Atopic dermatitis is a skin condition in which the immune system becomes triggered, thereby causing inflammation, dry skin, itching, and a skin rash that appears purple or grey, or red. Fucidin H Cream does not treat viral or fungal skin infections. Fucidin H Cream is a combination of two drugs: Fusidic acid (antibiotic) and Hydrocortisone acetate (corticosteroid). Fusidic acid inhibits essential proteins necessary for bacteria to grow and multiply. Hydrocortisone acetate inhibits the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. Together, Fucidin H Cream helps treat skin infections. Fucidin H Cream is only for external use. Your doctor will advise on how often you use Fucidin H Cream based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience itching, irritation, or burning sensation at the site of application. Most of these side effects of Fucidin H Cream do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before using Fucidin H Cream. Apply Fucidin H Cream with caution near the eyes as Fucidin H Cream may lead to glaucoma if it gets into the eye. Do not cover or wrap the treated area with bandages unless advised by your doctor. Avoid smoking or going near naked flames as the fabric (bedding, clothing, dressings) in contact with Fucidin H Cream catches fire and burns easily.
