About Delcon LM Mango Flavour Syrup Delcon LM Mango Flavour Syrup is used in the treatment of allergies. It helps relieve various allergic reactions, such as colds, runny nose, sneezing, etc., in children. An allergic reaction is a response that occurs when foreign particles enter the body. This allergic reaction may vary from person to person. Delcon LM Mango Flavour Syrup is an anti-allergic medicine containing Montelukast and Levocetirizine. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist, which blocks a chemical messenger (leukotriene) and reduces inflammation and swelling in the nose. Levocetirizine works by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger called histamine. This chemical messenger is naturally involved in allergic reactions. Together, this medicine helps to relieve discomfort and unpleasant symptoms, like a blocked/runny/itchy nose and red/watery eyes due to allergic conditions. Delcon LM Mango Flavour Syrup may cause certain side effects in your child, such as abdominal pain, headache, cold-like nose symptoms (in children), or diarrhoea (in children). These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your paediatrician. Delcon LM Mango Flavour Syrup should be taken as advised by your doctor. Do not give more than the prescribed dose of Delcon LM Mango Flavour Syrup to the child. Delcon LM Mango Flavour Syrup can be provided with or without food. Your paediatrician will decide the dose of the medicine depending on the type and severity of the infection. Delcon LM Mango Flavour Syrup is intended for paediatric use only. Avoid giving Delcon LM Mango Flavour Syrup to your child if she/he is allergic to any of the components present in the formulation. Keep your doctor informed about your childs health condition, including his current medications and medical history, to rule out any side effects/interactions. Before administration, inform your childs doctor about liver and kidney disease.
