About Novamox-LB 500 Capsule Novamox-LB 500 Capsule belongs to the class of medicines called ‘penicillin antibiotics’ with probiotics. It treats various bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, skin, urinary tract, tonsillitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia. Besides this, Novamox-LB 500 Capsule prevents antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, dysentery (water loss), and infectious diarrhoea. Novamox-LB 500 Capsule is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Novamox-LB 500 Capsule contains Amoxycillin (antibiotic) and Lactic acid bacillus (probiotic). Amoxycillin is bactericidal (kills bacteria) that works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering (protective cell wall) necessary for their survival, thereby preventing the growth of bacteria. Lactic acid bacillus is a probiotic that helps restore the balance of good bacteria in the gut (digestive tract) destroyed due to the use of antibiotics. Take Novamox-LB 500 Capsule as prescribed.
