About Montek LC Tablet Montek LC Tablet is an antihistaminic medicine used in the treatment of allergies. It helps provide relief from various allergic reactions, such as cold, runny nose, sneezing, etc. An allergic reaction is a response that occurs when foreign particles enter the body. This allergic reaction may vary from person to person. Montek LC Tablet is an anti-allergic medicine containing Montelukast and Levocetirizine. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist, which blocks a chemical messenger (leukotriene) and reduces inflammation and swelling in the nose. Levocetirizine works by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger called histamine. This chemical messenger is naturally involved in allergic reactions. Together, this medicine helps to relieve discomfort and unpleasant symptoms, like blocked/runny/itchy nose, and red/watery eyes that occur due to allergic conditions. Montek LC Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Your dose will depend on your health condition and how you respond to Montek LC Tablet . You may sometimes experience nausea, skin rash, diarrhoea, vomiting, dry mouth, headache, skin rash, and fatigue. Most of these side effects of Montek LC Tablet are temporary, do not require medical attention, and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.
