About Cortel LNB 50 Tablet Cortel LNB 50 Tablet belongs to the group of anti-hypertensive medicines used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Cortel LNB 50 Tablet helps lower blood pressure, thereby reducing the chances of heart problems such as heart attack and stroke. High blood pressure is a condition in which the blood exerts increased pressure on the walls of blood vessels. Symptoms include headache, dizziness, nosebleeds, changes in vision, chest pain, weakness, and dyspnea (shortness of breath). However, most of the time, the signs and symptoms of hypertension are none.

Cortel LNB 50 Tablet is a combination of three drugs: Cilnidipine, Telmisartan, and Metoprolol succinate. Cilnidipine acts on the calcium channels of the blood vessels and suppresses the contraction of blood vessels, thereby helping the blood flow smoothly. Telmisartan works by blocking the angiotensin II receptor, thereby relaxing the blood vessels and lowering the blood pressure. Metoprolol succinate slows down the rate and makes it easier for the heart to pump blood throughout the body. Together, Cortel LNB 50 Tablet helps treat hypertension.

Take Cortel LNB 50 Tablet as prescribed. You are advised to take Cortel LNB 50 Tablet for as long as your doctor has recommended it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as headache, nausea, dizziness, weakness, decreased blood pressure, and slow heart rate. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Try not to stop taking Cortel LNB 50 Tablet on your own, as it may cause a sudden increase in blood pressure. Consult your doctor before taking Cortel LNB 50 Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Cortel LNB 50 Tablet is not recommended for children as efficacy and safety have not been established. Cortel LNB 50 Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive with caution. Avoid consuming alcohol as it might cause increased dizziness. Inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking and about your health condition to rule out any unpleasant side effects/interactions.
